From demonstrator to connected research infrastructure — the roadmap below reflects where Ancient BioChain is heading. The current phase text is also editable from Appearance → Customize → Roadmap Phases.

  • Phase 1 — Ancient DNA. Public archaeogenomic datasets, metadata, ingestion and transformation provenance.
  • Phase 2 — Ancient Pathogens. Pathogen evidence, authentication, contamination controls, references and analytical lineage.
  • Phase 3 — Connected Ancient Evidence. Human and animal DNA, ancient pathogens, environmental DNA, proteomics, microbiomes, isotopic and other biomolecular evidence linked across studies and institutions.
  • Phase 4 — Research Infrastructure. APIs, institutional integrations, collaborative demonstrators and reusable provenance services.

We are interested in conversations with archaeogenomics groups, ancient-pathogen researchers, repositories, sequencing facilities, universities and research-infrastructure projects interested in interoperable provenance — Ancient BioChain is intended to complement existing scientific systems, not replace them.
