Ancient DNA, built on verifiable provenance.

Ancient DNA is a demanding environment for scientific provenance. Samples may be irreplaceable, sampling may be destructive, datasets are repeatedly reanalysed, and computational methods can change substantially after the original study.

The Ancient BioChain demonstrator explores whether a persistent evidence layer can connect source metadata, datasets, transformations and analytical outputs without requiring the underlying research infrastructure to be replaced.

Public-data demonstrator

The initial ingestion work is intended to use openly available archaeogenomic resources, including data from AADR, Poseidon and ENA where licensing and access conditions permit. These are data sources, not claimed partners or endorsers.
